Visualizedbymal launched in 2016 as a traveling professional photography, visual storytelling, and image consulting business based out of Philadelphia. We travel near and far delivering powerful images and dynamic visuals — paired with a professional experience that makes our partners look good and feel good. But the story really begins long before 2016, with my grandfather.

My PopPop, Paul Somerville, Jr., went nowhere without his camera. As a boy I watched his dedication up close, and I developed my own talents by studying that devotion — learning that photography is a unique lens for capturing life's most indelible moments and telling the stories words alone can't tell. I picked up my first camera at eight, and I've been building on his foundation ever since.

Everything I create is a continuation of what he started — the same eye, the same commitment, carried into a new generation. That legacy is what I bring to every partnership. I've been chosen to lead visual creation for hundreds of the nation's most influential people, businesses, and students, and the leadership organizations, college graduates, and students who work with Visualizedbymal consistently find increased engagement. Our work has been featured by countless networks, platforms, and publications nationwide — including Good Morning America, the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, DC, and the College Football Hall of Fame.
